OK, so I’m not really a web and digital design expert with lots of IT degrees and coding certifications, but the DIY solopreneurs I’ve helped ditch their overwhelm and conquer their fear of tech actually think I am.
I have a B.S. in Communications and years of experience (more than I care to admit!) in Corporate America. How Long Will It Take To Finish The Website?
Hmmm – that’s a tough question. Everyone works at different speeds and with different time commitments, so it’s difficult to tell you exactly how long it will take you. Some get bogged down in perfectionism; others are ready to fly pretty quickly.
But, here’s the process: After you purchase your domain and hosting, we’ll send you the Website Planning Guide so you can start prepping your text, finding your images, and choosing your colors/fonts, etc. while we’re building your site. (This Guide will get you organized by keeping all your web info in one place.) Once we install your site, you can start customizing it immediately. And, when you’re finished with the Guide, your prep work will be done. Then, it’s just a matter of copying and pasting into the specific areas of your website.
Shouldn’t I Hire a Professional Designer Instead of Trying To Do All This Myself?
Well, look at it this way: You could certainly do that, but in my experience, most startups don’t have the budget for a professionally designed site.
